Phillips: I thought he was out of bounds

Randy Phillips was involved in the biggest play of the game on Saturday night when it appeared he made a good play on receiver Carl Moore, knocking him out of bounds on a third down catch. However, the refs overturned the call and it changed the momentum of the game. Read on to see what Phillips had to say about that, the game, and more.

On the catch by Carl Moore at the end of the third quarter:
I thought he was out of bounds. I guess he wasn't.

On how the defense played pretty well against a loaded Florida offense:
We missed assignments. When you miss on Percy Harvin, he's gonna beat you.

On whether this game gives the team confidence moving forward:
We can play with anyone when we put our minds to it. We made some key mistakes and they capitalized. We gotta move on to the next game, keep our heads high, and keep getting better. The next game is now the most important game so we gotta move on to that.

On how well the defense played:
We're just doing what we're capable of doing. We have athletes just like they do. Whoever makes mistakes will lose a game (like that). We made more mustakes. They capitalized on ours and we didn't on theirs. We gotta get better during the off week and come back ready for the next one.
