At 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, Greenwich, Conn. standout offensive lineman John Sullivan is getting ready for a state semi-final game on Tuesday. Currently 11-0-1, his team is just two wins away from the state championship.
Sullivan, who plays center, currently has 15 sacks on defense. Inside the classroom, he's a full qualifier.
After football season, Sullivan will begin to wrestle, where he's won two state championships after going 92-4 over the last two years.
"The recruiting stuff is starting to slow down some," he said. "I told a lot of people in early November that I didn't want to discuss things until December so that slowed it down some. Basically, I'm looking to visit Notre Dame and Boston College."
Sullivan said his decision will likely come down to those two schools.
"The other one might be Maryland, but I don't know about that," he said. "I don't know of anyone else that is really on my mind right now."
The standout lineman had been mentioning Miami in previous interviews.
"I guess Miami's still a possibility for a visit," he said. "I don't know though. They fell off my list a little. It's a difficult situation with them, plus it's pretty far from home."
Sullivan, who will have an in-home visit with Notre Dame on Tuesday, said he has not heard from UM coach Art Kehoe since early November.
