Spence: I won't adjust to losing

True freshman Sean Spence hadn't lost a game in his final two years at Miami Northwestern High. Read on to see what he's saying about having lost three games this season, his thoughts on the FSU game, his stellar play so far, the direction of the team, and more.

Q: How hard is it to deal with losing considering the fact that you had not lost in two years?
A: It is very hard. I had not lost in 2 years and it feels strange to have already lost 3 games. We need to get it fixed and get on a roll.

Q: How hard is it to walk off the field after those losses and adjusting to not being able to win every game?
A: It is extremely tough, but I am not going to adjust to it. I plan on winning and doing big things.

Q: What does this team need to do to get off the field on 3rd down?
A: We just need to do our assignments. Coach Young calls great plays and we need to execute them. <> Q: What is the key to getting off the field on 3rd downs?
A: Like I said we need to stick to our assignments. We have been losing contain at times or blowing a coverage and it has cost us.

Q: How are you physically handling so much playing?
A: Coach Swasey does a great job getting us ready and I am handling it fine. It was tough at first, but I have gotten used to it.

Q: How are you so good at being around the ball?
A: I just do my assignment and try to make plays. Our coaches always tell us if ever in doubt just try to make plays an stick with your assignment and I am doing that the best I can.

Q: How good was it to score that touchdown?
A: It felt real good. I thought we had a chance to win at that time and it was a big boost for the team.

Q: What do you think you need to work on?
A: I have a lot of stuff to work on. I missed a few assignments and I saw some chances I had to make some big plays. No one is perfect and I won't stop working till I am close to it as I can be.

Q: What do you know about UCF?
A: They are a good a team and they are going to give us everything they got and we have to be ready.

Q: What did you think of UCF in high school?
A: Not much. I was just focused on Miami. I did not really pay attention to anyone else.

Q: How important is a win this week?
A: It is very important. We need to get on the right track and hopefully a win this week will give us some momentum for the rest of the season.

Q: What do you remember about Travis Benjamin in high school?
A: I remember him as a real explosive player. I played him in a spring game and he took a 2 yard hitch 65 yards and I just thought to myself that he was for real.
