DB Excited about UM Visit

This defensive back prospect has taken two official visits and has three remaining, the last of which is Miami. He talks about Miami and coach Stoops in this interview among other topics.

At 6-feet and 180 pounds, Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville standout cornerback Dareus Hiley finished the season with 22 offensive touchdowns, three on special teams, and six on defense.

Hiley, who is waiting on test scores to come back, recently took some of his official visits.

"I've been to Ohio State and Southern Cal," he said. "I really enjoyed them both. My Ohio State visit was great. I knew what to expect and it was everything I had hoped for. They won a huge game that clinched a chance to play for the national title. My USC visit was great too. They actually like me as a wide receiver. The fans were great and I really liked the coaches and the area."

The standout defensive back said he will take three visits over the next three weeks before starting to make a final decision.

"I'm going to Michigan this weekend, then Wisconsin, and then Miami," he said. "After my visit to Miami, I should have an idea."

Hiley talked more about the Hurricanes.

"They're Miami," he said. "I mean, it's Miami. Just look at what they do on the field. It's a great program and I like Coach Stoops. Me and Donte [Whitner] are really excited about our visit. I'll be interested to see how it matches up with my first two."

Because of those first two visits, Hiley puts those two schools on top.

"I'd say Ohio State and USC are my favorites for now," he said. "But I'm gonna take all my trips before deciding what to do."

Hiley, who'd like to make a decision around Christmas break, said he and Whitner "may or may not" end up at the same school. He claims offers from all five favorites.
