Performances of UM recruits

Several University of Miami recruiting prospects turned in excellent performances for their respective high school teams this past weekend. has an update on how many of them did.

* Three-star quarterback A.J. Highsmith led his team to its seventh straight victory to start the season by the score of 41-0. Highsmith completed 6-of-18 passes for 70 yards and one touchdown. He also added 20 yards on the ground. In seven games this season, Highsmith has completed 58-of-117 passes for 1,035 yards, 14 touchdowns, and two picks. He's added 104 yards and two scores on the ground. -- Houston Chronicle

* Five-star running back Bryce Brown ran for 192 yards and three touchdowns in his team's 44-26 loss, which knocked Brown's teams from playoff contention. He finished the regular season with 1,873 yards and 29 touchdowns. -- Varsity Kansas

* Four-star running back Mike James was unable to get to the 100-yard mark for the first time this season when Lakeland's defense did a nice job against him in Ridge's first loss of the season. One week after leading his team to a district championship win over Lake Wales, James had just 72 yards. For the season, James has 980 yards and eight touchdowns.

* Four-star running back Lamar Miller ran 13 times for 161 yards and two scores in a big 34-0 win, pushing the team's record to 7-1. Miller now has 140 carries for 1,175 yards and 16 touchdowns on the season. -- Miami Heald

* Five-star wide receiver Rueben Randle led his team to a 44-6 win. He had three carries for 30 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Through the air, he went 16-for-22 for 296 yards and three scores. For the season, Randle now has 1,517 yards passing, 476 rushing, and 23 total touchdowns. -- The News Star

* Five-star wide receiver Andre Debose helped led his team to a district championship win over Lake Brantley on Friday. Debose carried the ball 8 times for 59 yards and a score and also had 65 yards receiving on three catches. For the season, Debose has 318 yards and three touchdowns passing, 10 catches for 270 yards and three touchdowns receiving, and 566 yards and six scores rushing. He's also returned six kickoffs for 238 yards and two touchdowns and seven punts for 199 yards and a touchdown. -- Orlando Sentinel

* Four-star tight end Orson Charles helped lead his team to a 27-13 win over previously unbeaten Chamberlain. Charles had six catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns, giving him 37 for 878 and 13 scores on the season. -- St. Pete Times

* Four-star tight end Sheldon Richardson helped lead his team to a 23-9 win, pushing the team's record to 6-3 on the season. He had four catches for 55 yards on offense and two sacks on defense. His season totals are now 19 catches for 294 yards and one touchdown and 32 tackles and 11 sacks on defense. He also had eight returns on special teams for 200 yards and one touchdown. * Three-star defensive tackle Luther Robinson helped lead his team to a 14-7 win, pushing their record to 8-1. In those nine games, Robinson has 47 tackles, eight for loss, eight sacks, and one interception. -- TC Palm

* Four-star defensive end Dyron Dye helped his team to a 35-14 win and a district title. He led the way defensively with nine tackles and a sack. He now has 60 tackles on the season. On offense, he has three catches for 46 yards and a score. -- Orlando Sentinel

* Four-star safety Ray Ray Armstrong helped lead his team to the district title with a win on Friday. He threw for 91 yards and a touchdown. For the season, Armstrong has 656 yards passing and six scores; 462 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns; and three catches for 29 yards and a touchdown. He also has 28 tackles on defense and one kickoff return for 47 yards. -- Orlando Sentinel

* Four-star cornerback Denard Robinson has completed 55-of-129 passes for 903 yards, eight touchdowns, and four picks through eight games (6-2 record) this season. He also has 230 yards and four scores on the ground. -- Miami Herald
