WR Rueben Randle, LSU (unofficial) -- The five-star wide receiver prospect would be a tremendous compliment to the group of explosive freshman receivers the Canes have this year. He's another Aldarius Johnson. The Canes appear to be one of the three finalists along with LSU and Alabama. While he plans to take an official visit here in December and while his brother is a huge Canes fan, history tells us that it's going to be very tough pulling him away from his home state. The Canes are definitely in the game but it's going to be tough, especially the more weekends he spends in Baton Rouge as he did this past weekend.
TE Sheldon Richardson, Minnesota -- I'm convinced this is a two-team race. Missouri was his first offer, the school he's been committed to for a couple years now, and they're the hometown program. The Hurricanes, however, are Sheldon's dream school and his official visit here in December will tell the story.
OL Xavier Su'a-Filo, LSU -- The four-star offensive line prospect from Utah took his first official visit this weekend by going to Baton Rouge. Even though the Canes won't return a single player who's ever taken a snap at right tackle next season, it appears Su'a-Filo is becoming a longshot for the Canes. He did come down here on his own dime back in the summer and is expected back for an official visit so stay tuned.
DE Olivier Vernon, Florida State -- When Vernon made his commitment to Miami back in the spring, he told me that he agreed with UM coaches that he'd take some official visits during the season. He went to FSU and plans on seeing Alabama but in the end, he'll most likely fulfill a lifelong dream and ink with the Hurricanes.
LB Jarvis Jones, LSU (unofficial) -- Jones took an official visit to USC earlier this month and plans on checking out LSU in that regard in January. Miami's in the running for one of those final three visits but he seems like a real longshot at this point.
LB Jon Bostic, Florida State -- This was Bostic's third official visit. He'd already been to Auburn and LSU and he plans on seeing Florida with one of his final two. If the Canes continue actively recruiting him, they'll likely get the fifth visit. As it stands, he's looking more and more like a future Florida Gator.
