Q&A with Marcus Robinson

Marcus Robinson had a solid freshman season at defensive end for the Hurricanes. Now ready for a breakout sophomore season, Robinson talked about his added weight, what he's been working on this spring, his goals for this season, his thoughts on practice so far, and more.

On what he's been working on this spring:
"I'm working on just getting better for the fall, working on my fundamentals, like shedding blocks, getting more physical, stuff like that"

On looking noticeably bigger:
"I gained like 15 lbs, I'm at 240 right, I want to play between 240 and 245"

On how the weight has affected his skillset:
"The weight feels better, it feels good, better than last year because since that time I've gotten used to working with it."

On his goals for the spring and becoming a more well rounded player:
"I'm just polishing up trying to be a run stopper and a pass stopper. That's what I'm basically working on this spring."

On the first week of practice:
"First week has been good, because I've been able to work on stuff that I didn't get to work on after. So now we're trying to get all that stuff."

On adjusting to a new scheme:
"It's been pretty simple for us. I don't think it's going to be any different, I think it's going to be the same."
