Buchanan talks about his role at LB

Ramon Buchanan played linebacker in high school before starting out his Miami career at safety. He was switched back to linebacker late in the season and talked about his role there, his playing weight, the new defense, and more.

Talk about your move to linebacker:
Well, I played a little linebacker at the end of last year. And I played there mostly in high school so it felt more like home.

On how the switch was made:
The coaches came to me, talked to me, and I did it.

On playing weight:
I am 210 right now. I'm trying to get to 220. Last year I was like 200.

On his role as backup sam linebacker:
I'm just trying to go out there and make plays. I'm way more excited (than last year) to actually go out and to see how college football really is.

On learning a new defense:
I'm way more comfortable this year. Last season I learned a whole new defense and now we're learning a new one but I'm picking it up quickly.
