Dixon signs free agent deal

A day after the NFL Draft completed with just one Hurricane being called (Spencer Adkins in Round 6 to Atlanta), another Cane landed an undrafted free agent deal.

Antonio Dixon was one of 12 players to sign free agent contracts with the Washington Redskins after not getting drafted over the weekend.

Dixon, 6-foot-2 and 326 pounds, will have a chance to make the Washington roster after logging four years at Miami.

The former three-star prospect out of Miami's Booker T. Washington High School, Dixon spent a semester at Milford Academy before enrolling at Miami. As a part-time starter throughout his career, Dixon had 48 tackles and 2.5 sacks as a Hurricane.
