Bailey: We're ready to prove ourselves

* He's at 293-295 right now. Played last year at 287-288.

* Says he feels a lot more comfortable now that he's finally settled into a position. Said he's excited knowing that it's where he's going to be the rest of his career.

* He feels his athletic ability is catching up with his technique now and that he's taking that step necessary to become a dominant player.

* Likes Coach Lovett's defense, said that it's less complex but that the things that they run, they are going to run perfectly.

* Said that the defensive line has scary talent. Talked about all the guys and that the rotation should be excellent.

* He said he's working with Moncur at LE, Forston and him at DT, and Ojomo at RE on the first unit.

* He talked about getting Moncur and Phillips back and that the senior leadership being back is huge because he feels it's going to help them out a lot.

* He said that the offense is coming along nicely and you can tell the difference between last spring and this spring and that they are scary on the field sometimes because you have to worry about them making big plays.

* Said Jacory is a natural leader and that he's the leader of the team and that the team is behind him and he has their confidence.

* His goal for the season is at worst getting to a BCS bowl game and winning the ACC and he wants to go to California for the Rose Bowl (national title game).

* He says he likes the start of the schedule as a way to step onto the national stage and give them a chance to prove themselves.
