UM Lands Commitment; Soon to Add Another

The University of Miami has built a tremendous pipeline at Northwestern H.S. in Miami over the years and the tradition has continued this year.

Linebacker Leo Waiters and defensive tackle Clifton Dickson have both been actively recruited by the Hurricanes all year.

"I'm going to UM," Waiters said following his visit to UM this weekend. "I think it's the best situation for me right now and plus it's right here close to home. I couldn't go wrong."

Dickson, who made the visit with Waiters, is getting close.

"I loved it," he said of the visit. "UM's tight. There's a chance to go in and play and I want to take advantage of that. Look at all the great defensive linemen they've produced. I'll be the next great one."

Dickson said he'll make his commitment very soon.

"I'm still undecided on my commitment," he said. "I'll probably tell everyone in a couple days or whatever."

Waiters said getting Dickson to UM is something he'd enjoy.

"We've played together the last couple years and it'd be nice to keep doing the same thing through college," he said.
