Q&A with RB Lamar Miller

Lamar Miller is a talented incoming freshman running back at UM. Read on to see what he was saying after preseason camp started on Saturday.

Q: How was your first practice?
A: It was a good experience. I just went out there and worked hard and had fun.

Q: What are your thoughts on the talent at running back here?
A: We have a great group. We have a lot of guys who can play. There is a lot of talent. That is why I came here. I wanted to compete and have guys that can push me to get better.

Q: What are your expectations this year?
A: I just want to help us win. If I have to tackle on special teams, return kicks, or run the ball that is what I am going to do. I just want to win. I want to get Miami back to where it was.

Q: A lot of the guys talk about being remembered as the group that brought Miami back to that elite level. What would that mean to you guys?
A: It would mean a lot. It would mean as much as winning titles. To leave that kind of legacy would be a special thing. We want to get the "U" back.

Q: What do you think of Coach Whipple?
A: He is a great coach. He really knows offense. He likes to have fun, but at the same time is very serious about football.

Q: Do you feel Jacory is the leader of this team?
A: Yes he is. He is always that guy pushing us and helping us. He is a great leader. He wants to do whatever he can to get us winning again.

Q: What has been the toughest thing to adjust to in college football?
A: It is not a tough thing, but now you have a team where everyone was a star. We can all really play. It is a good thing to always have a guy pushing you that can take your spot is you let up.
