Epps: I feel 100-percent

Dedrick Epps is one of Miami's top returning players from last season and is recovering from a knee injury. Read on to see what he was saying after the second practice today.

On two-a-days:
Two a days are two-a-days. We have to get off our legs now and rest up for the scrimmage on Saturday. The offense came out with their heads on straight and the defense did the same thing. We have to work on the smaller things.

On his performance:
It's the same old. The same Dedrick Epps. I feel good.

On his injury status:
I have the same nicks and bruises. It comes with the territory of camp.

On being 100-percent:

On any catches he had today:
No, not that I remember. I had a catch in 7on7 but it wasn't anything major.

On making a statement in the scrimmage:
You can make a big statement. Coaches are looking to see who can play in game situations. For the younger guys, it gives them a chance to shine. The older guys get out and it lets the younger guys come in and take over.

On the scrimmage being a good evaluation:
Yeah, you could say that it's a true evaluation.

On Coach Whipple's offense:
It's the same as what I saw in the spring.

On Jimmy Graham:
He's doing great. He had a long run in the earlier practice. He caught an over route and took it deep. He looks good running and blocking.

On Graham being a surprise:
In a way but he's adapting to the game speed. He said it's faster when he takes reps with the ones. He's an athlete. Playing basketball, you can take things from the hardwood to the gridiron. I don't think it'll be too hard for him.

On the progress of the younger guys:
They're doing good. They're learning, going through the transitions. They're just learning it, taking it one day at a time.

On any touchdowns scored today:
I don't remember that.
