Harris: You can't do stupid things

Read on to see what quarterback Jacory Harris is saying just before the Canes have their first scrimmage of fall camp.

On the offensive excitement:
Everyone is excited and we go to meetings and practice hungry and ready to come out here and practice each day. We're excited to learn every day, get into the groove and run the offense. We're just having fun and flying around getting to the ball.

On Saturday's scrimmage:
We take the scrimmages differently because you gotta have the game mentality. You can't turn the ball over, can't do stupid things, no mental errors. Just go out, have fun, and play football.

On him doing well:
I don't have specifics. We're just overall doing well.

On the WR's:
The corners and receivers are performing. They're doing everything to get better -- running routes and doing good things.

On the improvements he'd like to see:
Not really. I can't really ask too much because they've given me everything.

On what the scrimmage means:
I take every scrimmage as a game mentality. Going out knowing you can't take some chances. You can't experiment. You just treat it as a game.
