Super OL Ready for UM Visit

At 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, Euless (Texas) Trinity standout offensive lineman Ofa Mohetau is closing in on one of the biggest decisions he's ever had to make.

"The more I think about it, the tougher it seems to get," Mohetau said. "You have no idea. I've actually taken notes on every school so far. Every time I get a chance to write something about someone, I put it into a notebook. I've really tried to keep up on things that have happened throughout the process."

The standout lineman has his list of potential schools narrowed down to four -- Miami, Texas, Arizona State, and BYU.

"Well, I know more about Texas, BYU, and Arizona State right now because those are the schools that I've already visited," he said. "I really enjoyed all three places and I could definitely see myself fitting into those places. But I have one real important visit left and that's to Miami this weekend."

So what does Mohetau think about the Hurricanes at this point?

"Their success says it all," he said. "Miami's the best of the best. Just look at what they've done. They have good players and good coaches so I'm interesting in checking everything out there. I don't really know what to expect but I'm about to find out."

The standout lineman said he'll likely have a final decision shortly after he returns from Miami.

"It's not going to be easy at all," he said. "If Miami goes well, it's going to be quite a challenge for me to pick the best place for me. Basically it'll come down to where I feel most comfortable. At this point, I really couldn't say who that would be."

Many people believe Mohetau's religion or location might factor heavily into his decision.

"Those won't play a part," he said. "I'll have the support wherever I go or else I wouldn't be considering these schools. They're all great places and it's going to be tough. Hopefully I'll know a lot more after the Miami visit than I know now."
