Notes from Tuesday's practice

The Hurricanes resumed practice this morning and here are some news and notes coming from that session.

* Running back Graig Cooper was wearing a boot on his foot today in what is being called an ankle injury. After practice, coach Randy Shannon said Coop will be ready for the season opener against Florida State and is calling the injury day-to-day.

* Defensive end Adewale Ojomo had surgery and will be "out for awhile". How long remains in question and Shannon would not say what the exact injury was.

* Freshman tight end Stephen Plein was moved to the offensive line today in a move that was sort of expected throughout the recruiting process. At 6-foot-6, Plein showed up at over 260 pounds.

Stay tuned for more later...
