Spence: We have to pay attention to detail

Sean Spence says the team is ready for next Monday's game against Florida State. Read on to see everything he's talking about.

On slowing FSU's run game down compared to last year:
We just gotta come out focusing on our assignments. Now we're a year older and we got help on our depth and I think we'll do good against the run this year.

On how to slow FSU's offense down:
We have to play our assignments, making sure the D-Line is getting a good rush on their offensive line, putting pressure on Ponder, making him uncomfortable in the pocket. He's a great quarterback and makes great decisions with the ball.

On his pick for six last year:
I forgot what call it was but I remember dropping back and I saw him getting hit and the ball going up in the air. At first I thought it was gonna hit the ground but I ran to the endzone. It was a great feeling. I thought I helped my team come back for a victory but we came up short that year.

On going to FSU:
I don't know. I've never been in Doak Campbell. I heard about it. They have a great fan base and there will be a lot of Seminole chants and I'm looking forward to it.

On FSU's O-Line:
Their O-Line is disciplined. They have great zone schemes. They pay attention to details and don't make many mistakes.

On how to beat that:
It comes back on us -- paying attention to our details and executing our assignments.

On Ponder running last year:
He's a running quarterback like that. He opened up a lot of eyes. He's a great quarterback with a great arm and great legs. We're ready for him.

On being less than a week away:
All the guys around here are waiting on Monday. It's a big stage and we're looking forward to getting up there.
