UM Lands Commitment

For the past several weeks, Miami (Fla.) Northwestern standout defensive tackle Cliff Dickson has been telling people that he's wide open with the recruiting process.

"I had so many people asking me where I'm going," Dickson said. "I was like 'I don't know.' But I knew I wanted to go to UM. Now I am telling people that. I'm a Hurricane."

Dickson joins teammate Leo Waiters as UM commitments.

"Me and Leo wanted to go together," he said. "We looked at the same ones and we thought UM was the best. I mean, it's right here."

Dickson said he's excited to join some local prospects on the defensive line that will join him at UM.

"They're going to have a bunch of d-linemen drafted this year," he said. "That's what it'll be like when we leave. Me, Eric [Moncur], and Bryan [Pata] will be straight ballin."

What about the national championship part of the equation?

"Oh of course," he said. "You know it and I know it. Miami's going to win some more in the next couple years."
