Fox: The FSU win is huge

Jason Fox was very excited following Miami's thrilling win over Florida State on Monday night. Read on to see what he was saying in the post-game.

On the rivalry's great intensity:
Hats off to Florida State. They played us tough for four quarters, but you know I'm so proud of everyone on our team. We fought the entire game and we gave everything we had and we overcame a lot of adversity tonight. It was a lot of back and forth all night, and we did a good job getting the win tonight.

On what it was like to win his final game in Tallahassee:
It's huge. It doesn't hit you until you're a senior that you only have one year left. I told the guys not this trip but during camp "guys, this senior class, this is our last go around. Give it everything we got because one day you'll be there and you'll know how it feels". And they did, we had a lot of help from all the underclassmen tonight. We made mistakes on a lot of drives but we overcame them and got the job done. I want to see the stat of how many third down conversions we had because we did a really good job converting and keeping drives alive.

On what it was like to be in the huddle for the ‘Canes last drive on offense:
We all kept reminding each other that it was on us. We can put it in the endzone and do all that we can do. We kept reminding that between every play. Jacory is a really level headed guy. I have yet to see him feel pressure or get nervous in a huddle. He took control and led us down there and got us into the endzone.

On what it felt like being on the sidelines at the end of the game:
I was praying to God they wouldn't score. I had all the faith in the world in our defense. We have a really tough defense. They'd been plyaing hard all night and they gave everything they had and they gave us a big stop to give us the victory.
