Walker's Visit is Off

At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater standout wide receiver Mike Walker was scheduled to visit Miami last weekend but was unable to make it.

"I had to take the SAT on Saturday and they said I should just wait a week so I can get the whole visit in," Walker said tonight.

However, that visit won't happen now.

"The Miami coaches called me yesterday and told me that they got two receivers to commit and they really didn't have any room to offer me a scholarship," he said. "That's cool, though. They were real honest with me the whole time and gave me enough time to start looking at other options."

While I was on the phone with Walker tonight, a new school added its name to the mix.

"That was Tennessee," he said. "He said they want me to come in for a visit this weekend. I told him I'd think about it. I'm not quite sure whether I'll take another one or not."

The standout receiver said he's mainly considering two schools.

"It's basically between UCF and Ole Miss," he said. "I like UCF more because it's closer to home and I feel more comfortable there. But I'll see what happens with Tennessee now."
