Bowe Talks About Finalists

Miami (Fla.) Norland wide receiver Dwayne Bowe still can't believe the amount of attention he's gotten this recruiting season.

"I thought it was tough to deal with back in September," Bowe said. "But you should see it now. I can't believe it. I've narrowed it down to just two and it's still wild."

Bowe said the two finalists are UM and LSU.

"I've been talking to both of them quite a bit lately," he said. "I'm going to LSU for my visit this weekend. I'm just going to see how it stacks up against UM and see if I really do fit in there like they tell me I will. I'd like to see for myself."

Bowe has already seen UM and liked what he saw.

"UM's tight," he said. "Coach Shannon's been keeping me posted on what's been going on. He said they really like the way I play, they think I can come in and be part of a great program, and he thinks I have a chance to really improve my game. I think I can and what better place to do that than UM."

Bowe also has another factor in his favor.

"UM's close to home," he said. "So even if I think they're even, I have a chance to play at home and do everything here. That would be tight, too."

Bowe was raised by his grandmother, who has an opinion as well.

"I know he likes UM a lot but I hope he ends up at LSU," she said. "But whatever makes him happy is fine with me."

Bowe said despite grandma pushing for the Tigers, he's undecided right now.

"I'll make a final choice next week," he said. "It's looking good for UM right now but I still haven't visited [LSU] yet."
