Injury Report for FAMU game

The 11th-ranked Hurricanes are set to take on Florida A&M on Saturday night. Read on for the injury report heading into the game.

The most notable injury on this week's report is to junior running back Graig Cooper, who is listed as questionable on this week's injury report issued by the University on Thursday evening.

If Cooper is unable to go, look for Lee Chmabers to get a bulk of the carries behind starter Javarris James. Mike James may also see more carries but he'll be the team's starting fullback again this week since starter Patrick Hill has been ruled out for this game.

The Canes are expected to be a bit short at safety for the second straight week. Starter Randy Phillips has been ruled out for the second straight week, while backup JoJo Nicolas has also been ruled out. Look for Vaughn Telemaque, Ray Ray Armstrong, and Jared Campbell to get the bulk of the reps at safety. Backup defensive back Ryan Hill has also been ruled out.

The Canes will be a bit short on the defensive line in this game as well. Two players, tackle Marcus Forston and end Steven Wesley, are listed as doubtful going into the game. With defensive ends Adewale Ojomo and Dyron Dye already out, it makes the depth up front a little shaky.

There is some good news along the D-Line, however. Freshman end Olivier Vernon, who was unable to play against Oklahoma last week, is expected back this week. He's listed as probable going into the game.

Freshmen Gavin Hardin and Shayon Green have both had season-ending surgeries and will miss the rest of the year. Reserve tight end Richard Gordon has also been ruled out and will miss his third straight game.
