Committed LB Impressed with Official Visit

Kevin Nelson has been committed to Miami for quite some time but the standout Florida linebacker made his official visit to the 'Canes this weekend. Read on to find out what he had to say.

Kevin Nelson made his way down to Coral Gables this weekend for his scheduled official visit.

"It was good, real good," Nelson said. "They put us up in a hotel, I had never stayed in a hotel like that, and they treated us real nice."

Nelson had made unofficial visits to campus before, but his official visit made an impression on him that he didn't have before.

"The difference was all the access that I had this time. We got to see the coaches office, the weight room, the class rooms, and facilities. Unofficially, I was not able to see all those things.

Nelson said he has developed a good relationship with several of the players.

"Sean Spence was my host. All those guys are great guys. Spence, Travis Benjamin, my cousin DeMarcus Van Dyke, Marcus Forston. Great guys."

With his official visit wrapped up, Nelson is going back to Gainsville until he enrolls in June.

"I'm just going to be working out continuously and working on keeping my grades up and just waiting until June."
