Tadlock averaged approximately 9 points and a plethora of rebounds last season for Charis Prep.
Tadlock is a versatile 4-5 player. Tadlock said, "I can play face up going out 15 to 18 feet for a shot. I am also a decent rebounder." Tadlock likens himself to the style of Gordon Hayward. He has been working to improve his ball handling and increase his overall weight.
Tadlock said the schools that have shown the most interest include Miami-OH, Princeton, Evansville, East Carolina, Tenn-Chat, Liberty, Oral Roberts, Drexel, and Winthrop. He says his high school coach told him Miami has offered.
Of those schools, Tadlock said that "Miami is for sure" his leader. He said, "Miami has a strong basketball tradition and has the potential to be a good tournament contender the next few years. They also play great teams so I will have a great opportunity to upset these teams." He said he primarily talks to assistant coach Jimmy Lallathin.
Tadlock said he is looking for a school that will help him grow as a player and has a coaching staff that will help him take his game to the next level.
Jared Tadlock is not sure when he will decide on a school, but said he will sign in the spring (late) signing period in order to make sure he finds the right fit. He knows he will visit Miami officially for sure, but is not sure what other schools he will visit.
Like most Miami recruiting targets, Tadlock is a strong student. He boasts a 3.9 grade point average.
In college, Tadlock would like to major in graphic design or something else with art. He added that "Miami of Ohio has a great graphic design program from what I have researched."
Tadlock is familiar with Ohio. His family has traveled extensively and he has lived in Columbus as well as Denver and other places throughout the country.
