Going into January, Miami had already landed two impressive offensive lineman in 6'4" 275lb OL Nick Custer (Elder HS) and 6'4" 275lb Ryan Callen (Hinsdale Central HS). However, it's obvious that the offensive line was an area of concern that needed to be addressed in the 2012 recruiting class.
In the last week, Coach Treadwell addressed that need with the addition of former NC State three-star commit Terry Davis, a 6'4" 300lb offensive lineman from Wyoming high school. Also, this past weekend, Coach Treadwell received a commitment from Scout's #16 rated three-star center, Brandyn Cook (6'2" 290lb) from St. Xavier high school.
Cook previously committed to the University of Pittsburgh and then head coach Todd Graham. Brandyn joins fellow St. X teamates LB Nate Gerbus (6'1" 220lb) and DE Bryson Albright (6'5" 210). More importantly, Miami has started to stake claim to southwestern Ohio.
With the addition of Cook, the current Miami 2012 recruiting class consists of 9 players from the Dayton, Middletown and Cincinnati areas.
