Onwuasor Visits Miami, Sets Final 3

After a breakout senior season, Inglewood (CA) High School's Randy Onwuasor has transformed into one of the best guards remaining uncommitted in the class of 2013. He recently visited Miami and has placed the RedHawks in his final three with a decision coming soon.

"Overall, my visit to Miami was pretty good," Randy Onwuasor told RedHawk Insider. "The campus was really nice. It is different from what I am used to, but it was cool," he added. The 6'3 combo guard averaged over 16 points per game and said his fit with the coaches is one of Miami's biggest draws, "The coaches are straight forward and honest. They are great guys." Additionally, Onwuasor fits with Coach John Cooper's uptempo offense. "He showed me some clips and I like that he runs an uptempo style. They do a lot of pick-and-rolls that really fit my style," Onwuasor told RedHawk Insider.

Despite the "good fit," Onwuasor is not ready to make his college decision quite yet. He told Scout that Miami was his early leader, but is joined with some impressive competition. "My final three is Miami, St. Louis University and Pittsburgh," he told us. When will the decision come for Miami's top target for the 2013 class? Onwuasor said, "I'm really not sure when I will decide. I just want to get comfortable." Even without a timeline, Miami fans can be comfortable knowing that the west coast standout finished the conversation by saying, "I definitely think Miami is going in the right direction."
