Eberhardt Enjoys Visit to Oxford

Prized JUCO forward Barry Eberhardt had an abrupt change of plans this past weekend. He thought he was on his way to the University of Dayton to visit the campus. However, midway through last week Dayton canceled on Eberhardt, freeing up the Cofeyville CC star's weekend for a visit to Oxford, OH, and an official visit with Miami.

RedHawk Insider got in touch with Barry to see how his weekend on Miami's campus went, and how the rest of his recruitment is going.

The first question is obvious – how did your visit to Miami go?
The visit went well. The players showed me a good time. Coach Coles and the coaching staff showed me a good time. My family had a good time.

So are you planning any other visits before you make a decision?
I'm not sure. We'll see if anything comes up for this weekend. But this week I'm going to try and make a decision.

So you are thinking about a week before you make your choice?
I think less than a week.

Are you leaning towards any school right now? Is Miami now your favorite after the visit?
I don't have a favorite. I'll have my favorite when I make my decision.

So what will your deciding factors be when it comes to making your decision?
My teammates, of course. Also, how I feel about the coaches.

What will be your process for making your decision?
I am going to talk to my family and my coach. They won't necessarily make the decision, but I just want to see what they think, how they feel about the situation.

I know you don't have a favorite right now, but if you had to list the schools you plan to choose between, what will they be?
Miami Ohio and St. Louis are the two.

Does the fact that St. Louis just fired their head coach going to have any impact on your decision?
That's a big factor, but they are trying to stay in contact with me, so I think things are alright.
