6'5 " 2010 shooting guard Roy "Devyn" Marble, Jr., (son of former Iowa star of the same name), recently made an unofficial visit to Miami-OH. It appears the Lathrup Village, Michigan standout enjoyed himself.

Marble said, "The visit went well. I met the coaching staff. I would like to meet the players. I am interested in going back. (Miami head coach Charlie) Coles is a very good coach and I want to be coached by the best. It was good to see the weight room. Outstanding business school. It would be good academically for me."

At the moment, Marble has been dominant in one particular sport: basketball. Last year as a junior was able to average 22 points, 4.5 assists, and 2 assists per game. He shoots 55% from the field, 45% from behind the arc, and 75% at the charity stripe.

Marble states his game resembles that of Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks. Marble said he can "score really well." Marble added, "I can get to the basket, shoot, and just score in a variety of ways."

Marble said his weaknesses are defense, aggressiveness, and boxing out.

Marble gave a list of some of the schools that are already showing interest. They include Miami-OH, Western Michigan, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon State, Depaul, Dayton, Hampton, Providence, Detroit, Buffalo, and Fairfield. He has offers from Iowa, Providence, Detroit, Buffalo, and Fairfield.

Marble is looking for a school with good coaching and a comfortable environment. He plans to decide on a college in early September.

Academically, Marble has a 3.2 GPA and scored an 18 on the ACT. He would like to major in business management or computer science.

Marble spends his free time playing video games, watching T.V., and likes to work with a lot of electronics. Marble said he is also good with science.
