Brock Ammons (6'7", 175 lbs) is trying to impress college coaches this July. The Findlay (OH) High School prospect has a number of schools eyeing him this month in various AAU tournaments.

During the 2009-10 campaign, Ammons still earned 3rd Team All-District honors while averaging around 14.3 points per contest. But this summer with his AAU team, King James, is where he is trying to earn his bones.

Ammons attended the Miami-OH Elite Camp as well.

Despite his height, Ammons fancies himself as a guard in college and likens himself to the Chicago Bulls'  Kyle Korver. Ammons described his style of play:

"I am a 2-3, possibly 4 at the college level. Hey, I like to shoot the ball. That is what I do…run around and shoot it. I am a spot up shooter. I play for King James and I just run to the corner in AAU games, hit my 3s, get my points, and call it a day."

Ammons says he wants to get stronger. He said, "I am 175 and 6-7 which is not big." He is also worker to improve his defense and quickness.

Ammons has yet to receive a scholarship offer from NCAA Division I schools. However, Miami-OH, Eastern Kentucky, Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Wright State, Robert Morris, and St. Francis (PA) are showing interest.

Academically, Ammons has a 2.8 GPA and is interesting in majoring in business. He plans to come back to visit Miami and check out Miami's new business school.
