Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio will not be in Spartan Stadium this afternoon as his team takes on Wisconsin in both teams Big Ten opener.
While Dantonio took part this week in several media functions and some events with his team, he returned on Thursday to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan where doctors discovered a blood clot during a routine post-operative examination. These events forced doctors to readmit the Spartans head coach to the hospital leaving the Spartans in the full control of offensive coordinator Don Treadwell
This is the second game Dantonio has missed since his game winning call against Notre Dame in overtime prior to him having a heart attack and being rushed to the hospital.
The Spartans and Badgers enter the game with 4-0 records looking to get off to a fast start in conference play.
