Decker Looking To Visit Spartans

Ohio offensive lineman Taylor Decker already has one offer in his pile. Is Michigan State a school of interest for the Ohio 2012 offensive lineman? SpartanDigest.com has the latest on Decker.

With a scholarship offer from Cincinnati in his hand, Taylor Decker is starting to feel football is his future. A two-sport athlete, the 6-foot-8, 270-pound Decker, has seen interest from several programs with Michigan State being one of them.

"I had talked with Coach Mark Staten from Michigan State. He invited me up to campus for a game but I was unable to attend because of a wedding. I hope to be invited another time this season to get a real chance to see the campus and learn more about the program."

Not only is Decker one of Ohio's top prospects in the 2012 class, he is a solid student.

"I have a 3.8 GPA right now; my dad tells me all the time that this is about getting a quality education."

While Decker has continued to improve his game on the field, he was not so sure on football being the best possible way to trade athletics for a college degree.

"With the offer and the way I have progressed this season has shown me that football is the best way to college athletics."

Taylor Decker is hoping to make a trip to East Lansing for one of the Spartans final home games. SpartanDigest.com will continue to follow the latest developments in his recruiting and interest in the Spartans.
