The Spartans Must Stop _______ To Win

Who must be stopped this Saturday when the Spartans take on Northwestern? We look at five key players who must be kept inline for the Spartans to post another victory.

QB: Dan Persa – People can talk all they want about the quarterbacks at Ohio State and Michigan, Dan Persa does more for his team than any quarterback in the Big Ten. So far, Persa has hit on 78% of his passes for 1,663 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions. Add in his team leading 295 yards rushing and three touchdowns and you can see why the Spartans must stop Dan Persa more than any other Wildcat on Saturday.

WR: Jeremy Ebert – The former high school quarterback has become a solid receiver in the Wildcats offense. So far, he has become Persa's top target pulling down 35 balls for 560 yards and five touchdowns.

DE: Vince Browne – With five sacks, eight tackles for loss, and four quarterback hurries, Browne is causing teams havoc this fall. Only a junior, Browne has already equaled his sack and TFL totals from last season. The Spartans must keep him from getting off the edge and into the face of Kirk Cousins if they are to win.

S: Brian Peters – Big safety who can run and has big-play potential. Leading tackler for the Wildcats with 44 total tackles.

LB: Davie Quentin – Is pacing the Wildcats with three interceptions and is third on the team with 28 total tackles on the season. Has great physical size at 6-foot-4, 230-pounds.
