Spartans Roll Nebraska-Omaha

With the regular season just days away, Tom Izzo, and his squad looked to take care of business against Nebraska-Omaha on Monday night.

Without Delvon Roe and Mike Kebler, Michigan State had no problem displacing Nebraska-Omaha 102-72 as Kalin Lucas scored 25 points in the team's final exhibition before Eastern Michigan heads to town on Friday night.

Getting off to a slow start, the Spartans took command scoring 11 straight points on their way to shooting over 50% in the first half.

Joining Lucas in double digits was Derrick Nix (10 points), Durrell Summers (11 points), Keith Appling (15 points), and Draymond Green (16 points).

For the game, the Spartans hit over 45% from 3-point range and over 50% from the field. During the first half, the team did struggle at the free throw line hitting 45%, but picked it up in the second half hitting for over 78%.

Mitch Albers led the way for Nebraska-Omaha with 14 points on the night.
