"It was good," Williamson told Spartan Digest. "I loved it and had a real good time. I arrived late and did not really get a tour of the facilities, but I know Michigan State is a program I have a lot of interest in knowing more about."
One of the things that impressed Williamson most was the actions of the players on the field.
"When I was watching the game, I could see the excitement from the team even when they were down. While the visit did not start off the best (because I was late) I really feel it was a great overall visit."
After the game, Kyle had a chance to speak with a couple of Spartan coaches.
"I spoke shortly with Coach Dantonio; he was headed to his press conference. However, I did speak with Coach Barnett in the locker room after the game and he said he‘d be down to my school to get some film and talk with my coach. He said he is looking forward to recruiting me and was very excited to see me there. I think one thing that blew me away as they knew my nickname and seemed to know a lot about me."
Despite being late, Kyle had a chance to catch a video just prior to going over to the stadium.
"I did get to watch a video they had for the team and showed to the recruits. It was great, you hear a lot of talk about family from college coaches, but you could see the coaches at Michigan State really mean it."
One thing Kyle really liked was the play of the offensive line.
"I could see myself out there. I really like their style of offense. It looks pretty simple, as they like to run the football. I like how they run a lot; I am more of a run blocker. I can pass block, but I like to lock in and drive people off the line. The type of offense a team runs will play a role in my decision."
"I really liked everything I saw at Michigan State. They are one of the top programs in the country and I have a lot of interest in them."
SpartanDigest.com will continue to stay in contact with Kyle in the coming months as the Spartans start to work on the Class of 2012.
