Ohio Linebacker Hoping To Visit Spartans

With his season ending Friday night in the Division II Ohio State Championship game, Nicholas Grigsby is ready to start getting down to business with recruiting.

Spartan Digest spoke with Trotwood-Madison head coach Maurice Douglass following his teams 45-33 hard fought loss to Maple Heights.

"Right now Nick is looking at making a visit to Michigan State in the next few weeks. He's been working hard in the classroom and we'll know more about his test score in the next week. Michigan State really likes Nick and we're hoping he'll find it a good fit."

Grigsby had some admirers watching his 10.5 tackle performance as Ohio State was in attendance watching him and another of his younger teammates.

Having watched the majority of Ohio outside linebackers the past two seasons, Grigsby is by far the most explosive of the group.

With Lawrence Thomas, Taiwan Jones, and Ed Davis all verbally pledge, there may not be room for Grigsby at MSU. However, do not be surprised if the Spartans stay in contact and look for a way to add his name to the list of players already pledged to the Spartans for the Class of 2011.

Spartan Digest will continue to track any developments in Gribsby's possible future in East Lansing.
