Looking Back At The Spartan 66 - #54-50

We continue our look back at the Spartan 66 ranked prior to the season. How did players #54-50 stack up?

During the spring and summer, we gave you our Spartan 66 for the 2010 season. We continue looking at how our preseason rankings stood up to the actual season. Here are players #50-54.

#54 – Le'Veon Bell – Looking back Bell should have been ranked higher. However, while we expected him to get carries the injury to Larry Caper moved him up and he never looked back. Looked to hit the freshman wall late in the season. Still, he posted 592 yards on 103 carries and 8 touchdowns.

#53 – Anthony Rashad White – Did a great job of backing up Jerel Worthy helping the Spartans have solid play from the front four. Played in 12 games posting 16 total tackles with half a sack.

#52 – Johnathan Strayhorn – Second on defensive depth chart at Left Defensive End. Should have been higher as he played in 12 games with 1 start. Posted 26 total tackles with 3.5 sacks on the season.

#51 – Jesse Johnson – Third on defensive depth chart as Free Safety and played in 11 games on the season.

#50 – Josh Rouse – Was looking to have his best season until injury stop his season. Became a solid inspiration to the team.
