Bama's Fantastic Four Defense

While football is a team game, Alabama has proven over the past several years to have some of the best defensive players in the country. Here is a look at Bama's Fantastic Four on defense.

The Spartans will have Kirk Cousins and their running attack ready on Saturday when they face Alabama. We look at the four top defensive players the Spartans will face when they take the field in the Capital One Bowl.

Mark Barron: Junior – Defensive Back - Led the Alabama defense with 75 total tackles, 2 sacks and 3 interceptions. Has great size at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds and loves to hit.

Courtney Upshaw: Junior – Linebacker - Posted 11.5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks to go with 47 total tackles. A jumbo linebacker at 6-foot-2, 263-pounds known for his hard-hitting style of play.

Marcell Dareus: Junior – Defensive Line - Was second on the team with 9 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks to go with 31 total tackles. A great pass rusher who can come off the edge or slide down inside. Total player who played his best in the National Championship game against Texas a year ago.

Robert Lester: Sophomore – Defensive Back - Pulled down 7 interceptions on the season to go with 47 total tackles and 1 sack. Great size at 6-foot-2, 206-pounds who really took his game to another level this season.

The Spartans will be tested by these four players throughout Saturday's game in the Capital One Bowl.
