Spartans On Board For Strobel

With their success of the past season, Michigan State has found players to be even more receptive as they hit the recruiting trail. One of those players is Tom Strobel. Spartan Digest spoke with the Ohio defender about his latest offer.

With an offer list growing, Mentor (Ohio) defensive lineman Tom Strobel has added Michigan State to his list.

"I just recently started to look into Michigan State," Strobel said. "I know they have a nice campus and I look forward to having a chance to visit."

That visit may come as soon as this month.

"I have not been up there yet, however, depending upon basketball, I may visit on February 26, for their Junior Day. If not, I plan on making a visit sometime this spring or summer."

On point for the Spartans is defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi.

"Coach Narduzzi has stopped by our school. I have talked on the phone with him several times, he's a really good guy."

The Spartans gave the 6-foot-6, 240-pound Strobel some insight into what they like about him.

"They said they really like my motor and how I move for a big guy."

As Big Ten Champions, Michigan State is getting some extra attention from the Ohio native.

"After they offered I looked into them and remembered they won the Big Ten. I feel like I need to look at them some more as there are a lot of positives about them."

Spartan Digest will continue to follow Tom over the course the of next few months as he look to make his college choice prior to his senior year.
