Five Questions: Spring

The Michigan State Spartans start the first leg of another journey on Tuesday when Mark Dantonio's club takes the practice fields fifteen times concluding with the spring game. Spartan Digest has five questions as we head into spring ball.

Despite coming off a Big Ten Championship, Michigan State will have several questions needed answered during the spring.

Question #1

With the loss of two top level linebackers in All-American Greg Jones and always consistent Eric Gordon, who steps up to fill two of the biggest losses for the Spartans defense?

Question #2

We all know what Kirk Cousins can do on the field.  However, with the departure of Joe Boisture from on field competition, and the limited snaps taken by Andrew Maxwell during his career, should the Spartans look to increase Maxwell's workload in case of an injury to Cousins next season?

Question #3

After being a four-year starter and team captain, is there a replacement ready to step up and take over for punter Aaron Bates?

Question #4

Heading into last season questions surrounded the Spartans offensive line.  Now, after losing three of last season's starters, who will step up and show the ability to man both tackle spots and the center position?

Question #5

What changes can we expect to see from the Spartans offense as Dan Roushar takes over as defensive coordinator?

Those are the five questions that Spartan Digest will look to answer in the next month as Michigan State hits the field this spring.
