Price Studying Up On Spartans

Josiah Price has taken it upon himself to do some research on Michigan State. Why has the Indiana native taken a proactive approach in the Spartans? We get the latest.

Greentown (IN) Eastern High School prospect Josiah Price spent this past Saturday working on his overall game at the Nike Combine in Columbus. One reason for the added work is his desire to turn a few heads when camp season kicks off next month. One program checking on Price has been Michigan State. What does Price know about the Spartans?

"I've never been on a visit to Michigan State. Coach Warner has stopped by the school twice this spring so I'll try and get to their camp this summer and also taken an unofficial visit with them while I'm there."

Price, who stands 6-foot-5, 240-pounds, has heard different things from different programs.

"Some schools are seeing me as a tight end and some are seeing me as a defensive end or outside linebacker in the 3-4."

Price currently holds several offers from Mid American Conference programs but is looking to open some eyes with BCS programs in June. Michigan State is a program he's been studying up on in recent weeks.

"I did not know a lot about Michigan State. But I know they have a really good program as they were Big Ten Champions this past season, so that is very cool. I've watched a few video things on them and also looked up some things on them to learn more about them."

While Price may be doing his research on the Spartans, it will be his on field performance that will determine if he can secure a Spartans offer. Spartan Digest will be following Price and many others when the Spartans open their summer camp in a few weeks.
