2013 OL Has Top Spartans Camp

If you want to look a little farther out in Michigan State recruiting one player who had a top day was Ohio Class of 2013 guard prospect Sean Welsh.

Michigan State hit up the Dayton, Ohio are in the class of 2012 getting a verbal commitment from Centerville High School offensive guard Benny McGowan. In the 2013 class the Spartans could also head back to Southwestern Ohio and find another very solid prospect in Springboro High School offensive lineman Sean Welsh.

Welsh, who is 6-foot-3, 275-pounds, showed he has solid pass blocking skills in one-on-one drills using solid technique and keeping his balance. These drills are often won by defensive linemen; however, Welsh won the majority of his reps.

Kyle Bosch who already holds an offer from Michigan State and others was also at Saturday's camp and Welsh was right there with the Illinois native and in our eyes out performed him in the one-on-one drills.

Coaches from several of the Mid American Conference schools in attendance took notice and made it a point to speak with the Ohio native following camp.

With a camp date set at Ohio State coming up next weekend, Welsh will look to continue his rise up the ranks of 2013 prospects.
