Jackson Hopes to Hear from Spartans

One of the players who performed well during last week's Michigan State camp was Terrell Jackson. We checked in with Jackson on the latest as it pertains to the Spartans.

One player who performed well last week at Michigan State camp was Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin defensive tackles Terrell Jackson. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound defender did well enough to get a call up to the coaches' offices before leaving.

"The coaches said they are going to be looking at me and they will be looking at the film from camp and then let me know something in the next week or so."

While Jackson may be new on the Spartans radar, he is not new to picking up college offers.

"I've got offers from many of the MAC schools and from Duke right now."

Having spent two days on campus gave Jackson a positive feeling about what is available at MSU.

"I liked the campus and the surroundings. I liked the weight room and all the coaches were on point. Michigan State has a really good coaching staff."

Jackson learned from Spartans defensive line coach Ted Gill and knows he was learning under a true coaching great.

"It was an honor to be coached by Coach Gill. I had heard a lot of great things about him and then to finally get a chance to meet him and have him coach me was great. He made us do some up-downs, but that is all part of football."

So if the Spartans would come back with an offer where would they be on his offer list?

"Michigan State would move to the top of my list if they offer."
