Spartan 66 2011 Ranking #60

The Michigan State Spartans won a share of the Big Ten title in 2010. Last year, looked in-depth at sixty-six Spartans and their importance to the team's success. We look at 66 Spartans as 1966 was the last time MSU won a National Championship. It is now time to look at the #60 ranked Spartan in 2011.

Arjen Colquhoun

SD 2011 Ranking : #60

Position: Cornerback

Experience : True Freshman early enrollee

Strengths : Physical size and speed.

Weakness : On field experience and missed time during spring practice.

Much was expected out of Colquhoun when he signed with Michigan State and became an early enrollee. However, missed time during the spring slowed his progress and lowered his early value to be a contributor this fall.

Overall:We knew there would be a learning curve as Colquhoun came from Canada. However, he was going to have a chance to get a head start by enrolling early and getting reps in the spring. Right now his growth has been slowed and camp will be very important if Colquhoun doesn't want to be left behind.

Why He Made The List:With depth concerns you have to place Colquhoun on the list. At worst, Colquhoun should provide reps on special teams. If he starts off slow, do not be surprised other members of the Class of 2011 step ahead of him.
