Spartan 66 2011 Ranking #57

The Michigan State Spartans won a share of the Big Ten title in 2010. Last year, SpartanDigest.com looked in-depth at sixty-six Spartans and their importance to the team's success. We look at 66 Spartans as 1966 was the last time MSU won a National Championship. It is now time to look at the #57 ranked Spartan in 2011.

Juwan Caesar

SD 2011 Ranking : #57

Position: Wide Receiver

Experience : True Freshman

Strengths : Potential to be a big-time player in the Spartans offense.

Weakness : First year in the program needs some development.

Caesar was a major pickup for the Spartans in the Class of 2011. Will he be on the field this fall? We'll have to wait and see. But with the Spartans losing B.J. Cunningham, Keith Nichol and Keshawn Martin after this season, it might be wise to get the Florida native some reps.

Overall: High level prospect who the Spartans will have to make a hard decision on redshirting or getting some early career reps. Has the talent to be a top receiver early in his career, but it will not be this season.

Why He Made The List: Because of the future loss of three top receivers there is a chance the Spartans coaching staff looks at putting Caesar on the field early and getting him some reps. A future of Caesar and up and coming standout Tony Lippett should give Spartan fans something to be excited about.
