Spartan 66 2011 Ranking #47

The Michigan State Spartans won a share of the Big Ten title in 2010. Last year, SpartanDigest.com looked in-depth at sixty-six Spartans and their importance to the team's success. We look at 66 Spartans as 1966 was the last time MSU won a National Championship. It is now time to look at the #47 ranked Spartan in 2011.

Micajah Reynolds

SD 2011 Ranking : #47

Position: Offensive Line

Experience : Redshirt Sophomore

Strengths : Great physical size at 6-foot-5, 318-pounds.

Weakness : Needs more experience on the field in game action.

Reynolds is a player who could be one of the surprises as the Spartans look to build depth along the offensive line in 2011. Earned his first letter last season and appeared in four games on the offensive line after having seen moves from the o-line to the defensive line and back during preseason camp.

Overall :Great physical size and a player ready to break out and prove he belongs in the college game. Has the tools and now needs to show the work done the past two years is paying off.

Why They Made The List : Reynolds was listed higher last season as we expected him to be given some time on the defensive line. However, the Spartans coaching staff moved him back to the offensive line because of depth issues and he did find some time on the field. Because of the questions still remaining on the offensive line we felt he needed to be listed in the Top 66, but a few steps lower than his ranking from a year ago.
