Spartan 66 2011 Ranking #36

The Michigan State Spartans won a share of the Big Ten title in 2010. Last year, SpartanDigest.com looked in-depth at sixty-six Spartans and their importance to the team's success. We look at 66 Spartans as 1966 was the last time MSU won a National Championship. It is now time to look at the #36 ranked Spartan in 2011.

Jared McGaha

SD 2011 Ranking : #36

Position: Offensive Tackle

Experience : Redshirt Senior

Strengths : Has good size at 6-foot-6, 298-pounds and is a veteran of the program.

Weakness : Has never put it all together to be the starter fulltime.

Overall : McGaha has seen game action having played in 23 career games heading into this season. However, he's never put it together to earn the starting spot fulltime.

Why They Made The List : In his final year McGaha knows there is no tomorrow to his Spartans football career and fans should expect him to do whatever it takes to get on the field. Depending upon his performance in camp, McGaha could push Dan France for reps at left tackle. If he is not the starter he must be ready to go in case of injury.
