Spartan 66 2011 Ranking #30

The Michigan State Spartans won a share of the Big Ten title in 2010. Last year, SpartanDigest.com looked in-depth at sixty-six Spartans and their importance to the team's success. We look at 66 Spartans as 1966 was the last time MSU won a National Championship. It is now time to look at the #30 ranked Spartan in 2011.

Larry Caper

SD 2011 Ranking : #30

Position: RB

Experience : Junior

Strengths : Solid running back who can also catch the ball coming out of the backfield.

Weakness : Stuck behind Edwin Baker on the depth chart has fought injuries.

Overall : High quality back with great running skills and pass catching skills. In many programs Caper would be a starter.

Why They Made The List : Could Caper be too low at #30? With the type of talent he showed early in his career, the Battle Creek native saw being sidelined for the first two games last season being his downfall as Baker and Le'Veon Bell pushed ahead. The talent is there and we're sure Caper will get his share of snaps.
