Spartans Key To Victory

Here are a few "KEY" things Michigan State must do on Saturday to beat Ohio State.

Here are our keys to Saturday's game against Ohio State.

SILENCE THE HOME CROWD The sooner Michigan State can take out the over 100,000 OSU fans the better.

PRESURE THE QUARTERBACK Michigan State's front four must put pressure on freshman quarterback Braxton Miller. If they can force the first year player into mistakes, good thing should happen. The keys to keeping Miller in control will be keeping him in the pocket and not letting him get outside.

OFFENSIVE LINE MUST START STRONG We have talked about the changes along the Spartans offensive line and Saturday will be this groups biggest test as the Buckeyes have some defensive talent that can force mistakes. If the Spartans can open up running lanes and keep pressure off of Kirk Cousins the Spartans can have a big day.

POUND THE ROCK As Mark Dantonio has always been a run first, pass second coach. Nothing will change on Saturday as the Spartans will look to run the ball to open up the passing game.

PLAY SOLID SPECIAL TEAMS The Spartans must have solid special team play in all phases on Saturday. Any miscue could cost the Spartans a chance to earn their first conference win of the season.
