Spartans Offer 2013 Linebacker Ben Gedeon

Ohio 2013 linebacker adds Michigan State to his growing offer list.

One of the hot early names in Ohio is linebacker Ben Gedeon of Hudson High School. At 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, Gedeon already held offers from Boston College, Michigan, Tennessee and Northwestern prior to the Spartans interest.

How did Gedeon learn of his offer?

"Coach (Pat) Narduzzi came to our school the other day and said they were going to offer me a scholarship," said Gedeon. "I haven't really seen the campus or been to any games there, so I'm going to try and get up to a game later this year."

Where do the Spartans see the multi-talented Gedeon?

"I think they're looking at me as an outside linebacker at the next level," said Gedeon. "Michigan State has a couple of great linebackers playing now and I watched Greg Jones play when he was there and he was a great player."

As many expected some of Ohio's top prospects in the 2013 class watched as the Spartans defeated Ohio State a couple of weeks ago.

"I watched Michigan State against Ohio State a couple of weeks ago," said Gedeon. "Michigan State was able to pull off a 10-7 victory."

Other programs Gedeon has heard from include Stanford and he's also got interest in learning about Notre Dame.
