Five Questions: Wisconsin

Here are our five questions / points for Saturday nights battle against Wisconsin.

Saturday will find the campus of Michigan State buzzing with Homecoming, Game Day, and the Spartans taking on the Badgers in a Big Ten clash.

Here our five questions / points for Spartan fans to consider before the game.

Question One: Does the loss of William Gholston prove to be a major loss against Wisconsin on Saturday night?

Gholston has been playing solid football this season having posted 20 total tackles (1.5 sacks / 2 QBH). Does Mark Dantonio look to freshman Shilique Calhoun? Or can Corey Freeman and Denzel Drone get the job done? Question Two: Do you take the redshirt off of true freshman Shilique Calhoun?

Spartans defensive coaches have been impressed with Calhoun since he arrived on campus. However, being at the midway point of the season could prove costly if the Spartans make the decision to play Calhoun now.

Question Three: Will Michigan State have a letdown coming off a big win over rival Michigan?

Last season the Spartans showed they were capable of pulling off back-to-back wins over ranked opponents. A win over the Badgers makes it two years in a row.

Question Four: Will the penalties from last week and the suspension of Gholston cause the Spartans defense to be less aggressive?

All the talk from last week's game, the suspension of Gholston and admonishment of Pat Narduzzi by the university could be on the back of players and coaches minds.

Question Five: Is this the week the offense hits on all cylinders?

We've seen glimpses of the offense throughout the season, however, we've yet to see a 100% dominate offensive attack.
